How do you improve on an award winning frame? The attributes that defined it - geometry, balance, neutral-handling and value - had to be preserved but we've learned a few things in the past few years and technology has changed.

What's been kept?

• Classic Pipedream trail geometry.
• Heat treated 4130 CrMo stays
• Double bent stays (traditional 'A' seatstays)
• Clearance for 2.5" tyres
• 73 mm bottom bracket (BB) shell

What's new?

• Reynolds 853 butted main tubes
• Custom heat treated 4130 head tube is 20% thicker
• Gusseted HT/DT/DT junction
• Sliding dropouts
• 19mm seatstays (previously 16mm)
• Bridgeless chain stays
• Curved seatstay bridge - it looks nicer.

The frame is disc specific and is designed to take a 90-130 mm travel fork.*
